April 20 2008

Hi again! Well, I've moved into my new house, all the boxes have been unpacked... the chaos is slowly making place for peace and quiet again :) Which means time again to update the site!

This week Tommy will be playing the Masters Series in Monte Carlo. He's the no. 12 seeded which means he is in the first quarter of the draw. In the first round he will meet Stanislas Wawrinka from Switzerland.

Tommy and Rafa are again playing doubles; their first match will be against wildcard players Couillard and Lisnard from Monaco. The match is scheduled for tomorrow, the last match on Court Central. Buena suerte chicos!

March 11 2008

Hello everyone! I'm very sorry for the "silence" lately... but I've been extremely busy with my new house! Once I've moved I should have a lot more time for this website though, so bear with me just a little bit longer! ;)

In the meantime... I have started a birthday project for Tommy! You can find more details about the project on the forum - please note you have to be registered & logged into the forum to be able to see it! We want to keep this a surprise for Tommy of course, so please keep the details to yourself! ;)

February 17 2008

Time for the next tournament... Rotterdam! Unfortunately Tommy is not seeded this time, and he will play against Nicolas Mahut in the first round. The "NaBredo" team is also back! Tommy is playing doubles with Rafael Nadal. Unfortunately they have to play against two other Spaniards in the first round: Fernando Verdasco and Feliciano Lopez. This match will be played tomorrow, it's the last match of the day session on center court.

Good luck Tommy! We'll be there to cheer you on!

February 10 2008

Congratulations to Spain! They have secured a spot in the quarter finals of the Davis Cup as they are now leading Peru 3-0 after two days. Tommy only needed 3 sets to give Spain a 2-0 lead on the first day, beating Ivan Miranda 6-2 6-3 6-3. Fernando Verdasco and Feliciano Lopez won their doubles match to claim the victory for Spain. In the quarter finals Spain will meet the winner of the tie against Germany and Korea, which is yet undecided.

At this moment, Tommy is still scheduled to play the fourth match in this tie against Luis Horna. It's the first match today, starting at 2.30 pm (local time).

And a shaky start for Tommy in the first Grand Slam too... After a difficult victory over German Mischa Zverev in 5 sets (4-6 2-6 7-6(2) 6-4 7-5) he went down to Mardy Fish in straight sets (1-6 2-6 3-6).

Next up for Tommy is Rotterdam, where I will be able to cheer for him in person!

Hello everybody! First of all, I would like to wish all of you a very happy new year! May it bring you everything you wish for :)
Sorry for the silence lately! I've been extremely busy and unfortunately this resulted in me neglecting the website a bit... Hopefully that will get better soon! (I'm working on it ;) )

Anyway... the new tennis season has started! Unfortunately it has been a bit of a shaky start for Tommy: he lost in the first round both at Doha and Sydney.
Tomorrow already sees the start of the first Grand Slam of the year! Tommy is the no. 11 seed and is in the fourth quarter of the draw. He will play against Mischa Zverev from Germany in the first round. Their match is scheduled first on Show Court 2 tomorrow; play starts at 11 am.

¡Buena suerte Tommy!
